How It Works
At the Wizards & Warriors Summer Day Camp you begin your adventure each morning at our Burlington facility. Upon arrival to the facility, you will meet your counselors in our 4,500 sf air conditioned room. It is very important that you are familiar with the rule system before attending this camp. Some rule clarification will be given, but most of the time will be spent discussing safety and procedures. After this brief meeting, the adventure begins!
Activities: During your stay in Sidleterra, you will participate in many activities that are very pertinent to the game. Here is just a sampling of what you will learn:
- Armor Making: Our Armor Smith will help you create your own pieces of chainmail or leather armor. You will learn the techniques and use the equipment necessary for starting your own suit of armor, and bring it home. Each camp session, you can add on to what you have already made, expanding pieces into full sets of your own customized armor.
- Weapons Training: After visiting the Master-At-Arms, you learn how to use your Foam Weapons and incorporate team tactics so that your group can withstand the hordes of monsters and undead that plague the village.
- Riddle Solving: The Librarian will help you learn about the history of the town, and why it is haunted by the various evil creatures. You can search the scrolls for answers…but first you need to learn Latin!
- Guarding the Land: Learn about the environment of Sidleterra… the plants and animals as well as how to defend them and live in harmony with them. Help teach the local inhabitants about sustainability and other important measures to protect your fragile home.
- Unlocking Mythology: What are the differences between an Asian Dragon and a European Dragon? What does the African Kalanoro look like? Answers like these are important keys to solving mysteries, discovering treasure, and restoring peace to the land.
- Treasure Hunting: To rid the land of evil, you must gather ancient items and unlock their mysteries to help you in your plight against the dark forces that terrorize the villagers.
- Storytelling: What good is a grand adventure if you don’t have a chance to brag about it? You will learn how to weave a fantastic tale and help the local scribe record your deeds in the giant tome so that they are preserved for years to come. Imagine returning to camp years later to see your character mentioned in the history of this grand adventure. Reading a book is fun, but imagine having a book written about you and your friends!
- Dungeon Crawling: Need some action? There’s always something going on in the deep, dark, haunted dungeons that hold treasure, monsters, and death traps!
